The reports do make it seem like a very different story. I’m sorry you went through that, there was really no winning in that situation, your fate was already kind of decided. I’m glad you were able to get a lot of the reports taken down.

I will personally make sure that we pass along your feedback to the [omitted] Ethics Committee, which reviews our coverage guidelines on a regular basis. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the matter.

In my opinion, news organizations that tell you they won’t remove the story, but also won’t update the story or take the time to add crucial context at a later date are not only being unethical, but lazy and cruel.

You’ve raised an interesting question about having us create guidelines for takedown requests… This may be an issue that we could take up in the future…

I always believed in the human side of life over just “getting a story”…Keep grinding, and hopefully you can get what you want done. All the best to you and your family.

Media entities in a “me-too” age feel that they have moral high ground and ability to persecute people for the rest of their lives once an allegation has been started, whether true or not.

In the West we are providing a free platform and tax dollars to people who commit atrocious crimes but want to punish someone forever over very defensible human matters – and that is something we don’t agree with. So happy to assist you where we can.
